Delete the accounts, platform by platform
Twelve platforms, the official way to delete each account and what happens to the data. Every line comes from the platform's own help page, read on the date shown.
Before deleting, export what you want to keep. Most platforms have an export tool, and after deletion nothing comes back. Erasing the account does not erase what the company keeps about you elsewhere, that request is the erasure letter.
You will find deletion in Accounts Center, under Profiles and personal details, Manage, Deactivation or deletion. It requires logging in, Instagram will not delete it for you.
Cancellable for 30 days. The full process can take up to 90 days, with possible copies in backup storage afterwards.

Deletion is reached through your profile picture, in Settings and privacy, Settings, Meta Account, Manage account, Deactivation or deletion. Pages only your profile controls are deleted with it.
You can cancel it within 30 days. Full deletion can take up to 90 days, and copies can remain in backup storage after that.

TikTok
In the app, tap Profile, then the menu at the top, Settings and privacy, Account, then Deactivate or delete account.
The official page states no deadlines. Data handling after deletion follows the privacy policy.

X (Twitter)
X does not delete the account directly. You first deactivate it via the More menu, under Settings and privacy, Your account tab, Deactivate your account, and permanent deletion only happens if you do not log in during the following 30 days.
Deactivation lasts 30 days. If you do not access the account in that period it is permanently deleted and the username becomes available to others.

Snapchat
You can delete the account in the app under Settings, Account Actions, Delete Account, or at accounts.snapchat.com. The account is first deactivated for 30 days.
Deactivated and recoverable for 30 days, permanently deleted after another 30, with data erased after 60 days in total.

On the website open Account Settings, scroll to the Advanced section and choose Delete Account. In the iOS app the button is under Settings in the Support section, and on Android at the bottom of Account settings.
Irreversible. The removal or anonymisation process starts within 90 days, and old posts and comments are not deleted with the account.

Discord
It sits in User Settings, My Account tab, Delete Account button at the bottom of the page. First you must transfer or delete any servers you own.
The account sits in pending deletion for 15 days, still recoverable, and is then deleted irreversibly.

Telegram
Deletion is done in a browser, on the telegram.org/deactivate page, not in the app. Settings also has self-destruct, which by default deletes the account after 18 months of inactivity.
Immediate and irreversible through the deactivation page, with all data removed. The automatic self-destruct period is adjustable in Settings.

The path runs through the Me icon, in Settings and Privacy, Account preferences, Account management, Close account.
Reopening is possible in most cases up to 14 days after closure, after which data is deleted under the privacy policy.

Google account
Your Google Account holds the option, under Data and privacy, More options, Delete your Google Account, with the final step at myaccount.google.com/deleteaccount.
The official page gives no concrete deadline. It says only that recovery is possible for a limited time after deletion.

Microsoft account
Closure is done through the Close account link on the official support page. You confirm the account, choose a 30 or 60 day reopen window and mark the account for closure.

Amazon
Closure is requested on the Close your Amazon account page, with a confirmation by email or SMS you must answer within five days. It closes the account on every Amazon site worldwide.
The confirmation expires in five days. Once closed, the account cannot be restored.

The option to delete the account is found under Settings, then Account management and finally Delete account. The entry point differs by device: on desktop it is the more options icon, on the mobile app it is the profile icon, with the Delete your data and account option at the bottom of the menu.
The account and personal data are permanently deleted after 7 days, during which you can reactivate the account if you change your mind. The request must also be confirmed via the email address associated with the account.

Spotify
Deleting the account is not an option inside the app Settings. It is instead a direct link on the support page, which leads to the account closure page where you confirm the closure and permanently delete all your data.
After closing the account, Spotify emails a link that allows it to be reactivated within 7 days, after which the account can no longer be reactivated and the process to delete the data is initiated.
